Saturday, 17 July, 2004: Michael performs as a special guest in Lesley Garrett & Friends: Music From The Movies in the outdoor grounds of Temple Newsam House (near Leeds) with the Orchestra of Opera North conducted by Philip Ellis. This special presentation, in association with the BBC will be pre recorded and broadcast later in the summer.

Michael will be appearing as a guest at 4 "Michael Ball" concerts, on the first 4 Sundays in
August. I'm not sure what songs he will be singing, but apparently he won't be singing many
songs, as there are also other guests. All the concerts are "open air" and venues are as

I can now confirm that Michael will be staying in Les Mis at the Queens theatre, hopefully
for another year. The "Michael Monthly" for May is also on the site! |

Hi everybody. A few people have been asking whether Michael is staying in Les Mis, or moving
on. I will post the info. as soon as I know for certain. I do have a good idea already, but
out of fairness both to Michael and everyone who visits this site, I don't want to post until
it is "official", one way or the other. I will try to find out this week! I have also noted the comments re. the "Michael Monthly" piccies being kind of missing! I don't really have any new photos at the moment, but I will revive the "Michael Monthly" with what I have! Even if you have seen them before, at least they will be bigger :-)Watch this space on Friday 21st May! |

I have added the latest Michael Monthly to the site. Michael will be performing in concert in Henley on Thames next Saturday 12th July, at the Henley festival. He is singing the music of Tim Rice and will perform 2 solos (Anthem and Close Every Door). He will also take part in a few communal numbers, including singing the role of Jesus in a selection from JCS. Box office is 01491 843404. For more details see website |

| 25th April 2003 | I have just received official confirmation that Michael has had to withdraw from the "1000 voices" concert on 4th May, due to his commitments with the Broadway Les Mis. Also confirmed, Michael will be back in the London show on 26th May. |

I have just added a couple of new pages to the site, together with a number of new pictures.
These are all courtesy of Angela Pollard, who has been running a site about Michael for a
number of years. Angela also assists in the running of Philip Quast's site, and she has now
decided to discontinue Michael's site. However, she has very kindly agreed to allow me to
take what I want from her site. I have therefore taken her Chelmsford concert review (plus pictures) and her Australia review (plus pictures). | 6th February 2003 | Michael appearing in concert - Royal Albert Hall. The Royal Albert has announced The Night of 1000 Voices will be held on 4th May 2003 8:00pm. This years event will celebrate the multi-award-winning productions of Trevor Nunn which include 'Les Miserables', 'Chess', 'My Fair Lady', 'Porgy and Bess', 'Sunset Boulevard', 'Starlight Express', 'Nicolas Nickleby', 'Oklahoma', 'South Pacific' and many more. In 2003, The Night of 1000 Voices will again benefit The Alan Jay Lerner Fund for Cancer Research at The Royal Marsden Hospital and this year's main beneficiary will be the Variety Club of Great Britain. (Variety's mission is to bring sunshine into the lives of children who are in need.) 'Memory', 'Love Changes Everything', 'Macavity', 'Bali Hai', 'One Day More', 'Summertime', Starlight Express', ' I'm Just a Girl who Cain't Say No' and 'Oklahoma!' are just some of the songs that will be performed. | 1st December 2002 | I have put an advent calendar onto the site - just for fun! I shall open a different "Michael window" every day (except for next weekend, when I will be away from 6th to 11th December). The calendar can also be accessed from the homepage. |

| 7th June 2002 | In order to make sure that there is always something new
on the site, I have decided to publish a "large scale" picture of Michael at the beginning
of each month. The title will simply be "picture of the month" (not very original!
I did consider "Michael Monthly", but I'd already prepared the image). Access

| 26th May 2002 | Subject to final confirmation, Michael will be returning to
the London Les Mis. in December - provisional date 2nd December. In October/November this
year he is scheduled to sing the role of Javert in a Scandinavian tour of Les Mis. I will
post dates and venues as soon as I have them. I have also posted a new picture of Michael in the out-of-role section of the gallery - just to wish him "Bon Voyage" on his Shanghai trip! |
| 12th May 2002 | Following problems with the previous guestbook, I have now installed a new one! I have saved previous entries onto an "archives" page, also accessible via the guestbook button. |
| 16th April 2002 | The Quiz competition is now closed. Six people gave the
correct answer, so I have now set a "tie-breaker" to decide the winner. I have emailed
the tie-breaker to each of the winners, but just for everyone's interest, the question is
"how many times has Michael played the role of Javert?" I have asked Michael to
"guestimate" the answer, and his guess will be taken as the "target" number. Michael has also offered to donate one of his CD's (signed) as a prize for a future competition, which I will run in the summer. |
| 22nd March 2002 | Michael has been Shanghai'd! Provisionally, Michael will be out of the London "Les Mis" from 3rd June until shortly after 7th July (I don't know the exact date). It is not yet fully "signed and sealed" but it appears that he will be playing "Javert" in the Shanghai production, alongside Colm Wilkinson. It is planned that he will spend a week in San Francisco with the American cast before going on with them to Shanghai. |
| 14th March 2002 | A couple of things! First of all, anyone planning to see
Les Mis. in April please note that Michael will be off on Saturday April 6th, also Thursday,
Friday and Saturday April 11th, 12th, 13th. Secondly, I have added a QUIZ competition to the site. The winner will receive a set of the Victor Hugo 200th birthday commemorative stamps, personally signed by Michael. Closing date for the competition is Sunday 14th April. Dublin on Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd June, performing the music of Andrew Lloyd Webber.

| 4th February 2001 | Attention all Michael's Australian fans! Michael is
spending a couple of weeks over in Oz, during which time he will be appearing on the
Denise Drysdale show, Channel 7 - 14th February. Michael's starting date in Les Miserables is now confirmed as Monday 5th March. |
| 25th January 2001 | Some good news for Michael's English fans - Michael is returning to Les Miserables at the Palace Theatre in London, as "Javert". He should be opening in the show in early March. |
